DEATH AT WOODS HOLE

In 1894 the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole was a place where scientists from all over the country came in the summer to study, do experiments and argue their theories. C.O. Whitman was director and he came from University of Chicago along with his protege Frank Lillie and others. Where better for Emily Cabot and Stephen Chapman to go at the end of a difficult summer. Clara Shea is already there. But what if a body is found in the tanks?

I was able to visit the MBL and take a tour the Friday before Hurricane Irene. Some pictures?

I found one house that looks like the fictional Snow Goose Inn in the story (which is currently in first draft form)

Then some of the folks visit or come from Newport. So we visited Marble House where Clara’s Gram is visiting Alma Vanderbilt in the story.
